Bhappa doi

(Steamed sweet curd)


Serve - 6 people


INGREDIENTS :-


.Curd (beaten)                                                 :    1 Cup
Milk                                                                :    1 Cup
Sweetened condensed milk                              :    400 gms
.Almond (blanched and sliced)                         :   5
Pistachio nut (sliced)                                        :   10
Raisins                                                            :   5
Water                                                             :   2 Cups.


                                                                      METHODS :-                                                                       


1. Beat together curd, milk and condensed milk till well  blended.

2. Pour the mixture into a 1 litre pudding mould. cover mould tightly with grease-proof paper securely tied.

3. Pour water into cooker. put grid in cooker. place mould on grid.

4. Close cooker. bring to full pressure on high heat. reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes

5.  Remove cooker from heat. allow to cool naturally.

6. Open cooker, take out and uncover mould. Allow to cool to room temperater. drain off water if any . refrigerate untill serving time.

7. Place a serving dish on top of mould and invert. shake gently to release. remove mould. 

        Serve bhappa doi chilled. .
